The best things in life are free—especially when they include escaping from the modern world and getting back in touch with nature. Feeling the sun on your face and grass beneath your feet is priceless, so why not spend more time exploring and less time reaching for your wallet?

In Saskatchewan’s wide open grasslands, sand dunes, vibrant lakes, lush forests, canyons and badlands, you have a lot of room to roam—and pitch a tent. Next time you’re itching to wander in the woods, check out one of these 30 free campgrounds, wilderness campsites and recreation sites in Saskatchewan.

As always, treat these areas with respect. Obey all signage, avoid private property and follow Leave-No-Trace guidelines. Let's keep these places wild for generations to come.
