I couldn't let the day and the memories of thanksgiving turkey (or was it chicken?), way too much apple crisp (I can't do the pumpkin pie thing---sorry mom!) and the love and laughs with family and friends pass by without writing one quick blog.
I wanted to give a quick shout out to all of my Facebook friends whose images of 'Thankful' filled up my newsfeed this morning. After a brief hiatus from the computer this weekend, I was greeted this morning with the most beautiful collection of fall images. Friends from all over Canada (and beyond) posted photographs of their reasons to give thanks. I was thrilled at the number of breathtaking fall photos that danced across my screen and proud at the gratitude being expressed for our great outdoors.
I would also like to take the chance to express my own little bit of thanks. Although I didn't have a camera by my side this weekend to capture any of the images of I was graced with, I know those that I've captured in my memory are irreplaceable. I'm thankful for the family and friends (new and old!) that I shared their time with me this weekend. I'm thankful for the opportunities to adventure and explore I am continually presented with. And I'm thankful for the beauty that seems to always find its way into my life, one way or another.
