If you’re between the ages of 17-24 and hungry for some real climbing experience, consider the MEC Under 25 Climbing Camp. This overnight camp will run from July 2-6 in Canmore, Alberta, from a base that offers access to some of the best climbing routes in Canada.
The MEC Under 25 Climbing Camp is designed for aspiring climbers looking to improve their skills in an incredible outdoor environment. Participants will learn a variety of styles and techniques, routefinding, gear placement, and leading under the guidance of two ACMG-certified experts, Sonnie Trotter and Jen Olson.
Beyond the enrolment fee, you’ll need a good level of physical fitness and basic rope-handling skills to participate. Financial assistance is also available through the Jim Colpitts Memorial Fund.
